School song

On Monday morning
We stand as one
To start the week anew
There’re things to learn
And work to be done
And time for friendships too

And when we’re trying our very best
Our friends are by our side
We‘re all together at Brunswick North
From countries far and wide

In years to come
When we have grown
This still will be our guide
It matters not, if you win or lose
Make sure you aim high with pride

Sustainability

Brunswick North Primary School works together to inspire our whole school community to make positive contributions to sustainability at school, home and beyond. We aim to reduce our impact on the Earth in order to produce a clean, safe and healthy environment and preserve resources for future generations.

Brunswick North Primary School aims to reduce our ecological footprint through adopting sustainable practises. We will achieve this by continuing to integrate sustainability into all areas of the school culture and instilling a sense of ownership and pride in improving the environment. We will lead the community by demonstrating exemplary practices in waste management, water and energy usage, and continue to develop the school grounds to promote biodiversity.   Our school is part of the ResourceSmart initiative, a Victorian Government program, that assists schools to embed sustainability in everything they do. BNPS is taking action to minimise waste, save energy and water, promote biodiversity and is taking action on climate change to benefit our school and community.   Some sustainability initiatives at Brunswick North PS include

  •  Student led Green Team
  •  Gardening club and the orchard garden program, including a composting program
  • Our Urban forest bordering the oval
  • Our paper recycling program
  • Water collection in tanks around the school used for our gardens
  • Solar panels
  • Tree planting Day
  • Nude Food Week, Walk/Ride to School Days
